Improvements to our college facilities include a brand new Music performance suite and sound recording studio, an upgraded specialist sports/gym centre, state-of-the-art science laboratories, large technology and multimedia suites and fantastic resources such as 3D printers and electronics bays for the delivery of STEM and clean technologies.
Our vision is simple: top quality teaching and learning with inquiry based learning in highly engaged classrooms leading to successful achievements for all of our students.
We have:
• STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Maths) inquiry based focus in Middle School leading to Senior School pathways including the option of a Certificate III in Laboratory Skills and SACE completion with Maths and Science at UniSA.
• Expanded Music courses from Year 8-12 including the opportunity for a full Certificate III in Sound Technology and SACE completion with Music and other subjects.
• Integrated Sport and Recreation programs from Year 8-12 including the opportunity to complete both Certificate II and III in Sport and Recreation and SACE completion with Sport and other subjects.
We create successful learning by keeping all of our teachers in touch with the latest quality professional learning and supporting them to develop and design highly engaging learning programs so that every student can be challenged to reach their potential.
We inspire our students to push themselves to the limits not only in the classrooms but also through opportunities offered as a result of our strong partnerships with universities, businesses, TAFE and sporting associations.
Our students excel within a safe and supportive environment underpinned by a positive education framework where they are free to aspire to achieve to their greatest potential.
WGSC Senior School provides students with personalised pathways and numerous opportunities to link and experience university through programs such as “Discovering University”.
Our extensive extra-curricular learning opportunities include STEM initiatives such as the Quad Copter Club, Choir, Music events such as Windsor Under the Stars, Technology programs such as Pedal Prix, Creative Arts programs such as Air Brushing, and Sports Programs such as inter-school sport and the Cheltenham Exchange.

Centre for Hearing Impaired (CHI)

All students in the College study Auslan (Australian Sign Language) in Year 8 as a compulsory language and can continue to study Auslan to Year 12 level. Our hard of hearing students have support of Teachers of the Deaf and bilingual school services officers to support them in mainstream classes.
Our hard of hearing students are assessed for the level of support required and some students use only Auslan to access the curriculum, some rely upon oral aural communications and others will have purely CHI classes with a teacher of deaf.
We work closely with families and their students to ensure their access to learning is not only equitable but also engages them in the full life of the College. CHI students are involved in the full range of activities including sport, Pedal Prix and Deaf Club. Our CHI students are able to access the entire curriculum available to any student across Years 8-12.
