About Us

Serpentine Jarrahdale Grammar School is an independent, coeducational, Christian School in the Anglican tradition. The School is based around the three core values of integrity, humility and community. We are committed to enabling each of our students to create their own path within these values and develop to be the very best they can. We believe that each student should have the opportunity to follow his or her interests at a level that extends and develops their capabilities.
Serpentine Jarrahdale Grammar School strives to produce a strong and balanced academic performance, sound testimony to its structure, pastoral care mechanisms, sense of order, breadth of co-curricular program, responsible atmosphere, and committed and highly professional staff.

Our Values

Our students learn in a community based on respect This includes:
• Respect of self
• Respect of others
• Respect of their environment
• Respect of learning

Rich Education

Serpentine Jarrahdale Grammar School has a rich curriculum encompassing three major areas of learning: Discipline-based Learning with subjects including English, Mathematics, World Studies, Languages, Science and the Environment and The Arts; Physical, Personal and Social Learning, which includes Health, Physical Education, Sport and Home Economics; and Interdisciplinary Learning which incorporates ICT, Design, Creativity and Technology.

Class sizes are 25 or less, with one hour lessons This maximises student time on learning and provides time for more teacher support to individual students.

Extra Curricular Activities

There are many extra curricular activities. They include the opportunity to learn a musical instrument such as flute, clarinet, keyboard, guitar, drums and piano. A Football Academy is offered to all boys within the school community from years 7-12. There is also an equestrian program and team, and an outdoors program called the Police Rangers.

Outstanding Classrooms

The junior school consists of two “villages” with their own facilities, including playing fields. A resort environment provides the learning area for Year 9 students. Years 10 -12 students learn in what is called 'The Town Square'. This consists of a series of shop type rooms with large display windows. Each room is an established gallery featuring themed art works, such as underwater photography, portraits, landscapes and sporting memorabilia.
