With almost 620 students from 3 Year Old Kindy to Year 6, the diverse and dynamic school life that is St Jerome’s Primary School, is reflective of the Parish and the multicultural communities which breathe life into our wonderful school. It has been meeting the spiritual, educational and pastoral needs of young people since 1935.

We have more than 80 teaching and non-teaching staff who are committed to providing a high level of pastoral care and quality education for students.

Our Vision

St Jerome’s Primary School accepts the challenge to be a place where the environment and curriculum are illuminated by faith and touched by the Gospel spirit of love and freedom. In this light, our school community seeks to develop the potential of its members, whilst respecting their dignity and uniqueness.

Teaching and Learning Philosophy

At St Jerome’s Primary School, our educators are passionate about ensuring that all students learn and thrive in a holistic way.

We believe that learning is natural, and can happen anywhere and at any time. Authentic learning should involve the development of knowledge and understandings, as well as values, competencies and skills necessary for the students to flourish in the 21st century. We believe that students should have the opportunity to represent their understandings in a variety of ways.

Children become competent and confident learners as they actively construct their own understanding, and contribute to each other’s learning. Deep learning occurs when children are engaged, challenged and given opportunities to problem solve. Learning opportunities are enhanced through the creative arts, the use of digital technology and through participation in creative play.

Religious Education

Religious Education at St Jerome’s Primary School follows the Perth Archdiocese Religious Education Units of Work. This program is to promote understanding of Christian beliefs and practices. Religious education is taught in a context with the same systematic demands and rigour as any other learning area.

Co-Curricular

St Jerome’s Primary School encourages students to become involved in activities outside the classroom. The diverse co-curricular program includes student ministry, giving or service activities; sporting activities and cultural activities.

Private Music Lessons:
