Mount St Joseph Girls' College is an outstanding girls' school offering six years of comprehensive secondary education to all students. These six years are divided into the Tenison School (Years 7, 8 and 9) and the MacKillop School (Years 10, 11 and 12). It is a school with a unique history of over 42 years under the guidance of the Sisters of St Joseph of the Sacred Heart. It is a place where students, teachers and parents work together to develop values, character and personality of the young women of the College. The College offers a Christian environment in which girls receive a comprehensive and global education that meets the high demands of industry. Students are offered opportunities to excel in VCE, VET and VCAL. The College is also a provider of the Cisco Certified Network Associates Certificate and caters to overseas students. It also integrates the pursuit of academic excellence with Christian values and the pastoral care of each student. It offers special ESL programs for international students. The LOTE subjects offered are Japanese, Italian and French. Strong faith development and pastoral programs exist for Years 7 to 12. Other programs include the Enhanced Learning Program (Years 7 to 10), the Bridges Program in Year 8 and the Horizons Program from Years 7 to 9. |

Mount St Josephs Girls’ College offers all students modern, up-to-date facilities designed to enhance learning in a safe and congenial environment. Emphasis is placed on the use of learning technologies and the development of critical literacy and thinking skills to prepare all students for the challenges of the Information Age and a globalised world.
The school has new Years 7 and 8 buildings, Visual Arts and Information Technology buildings; a new Performing Arts Centre including music, drama, music computer facilities and instrumental tuition rooms; a new gymnasium; well-equipped laboratories for Science, Cisco, Textiles and Food Technology; internet and intranet facilities; an Information Resource Centre with additional computer facilities; six computer laboratories and a serene chapel.
Teaching resources include traditional and contemporary textbooks, computers and audio-visual teaching aids as well as resource material developed by Professional Learning Teams at the College. |

All students are encouraged to participate in extra-curricular activities at school, inter-school and interstate levels, including: school sports carnivals; inter-school athletics, swimming, netball, basketball, tennis, softball, indoor cricket, indoor soccer; rock bands; drama performances; instrumental and voice tuition; and art exhibitions. There are also national competitions in Mathematics, Science and Languages. Other programs include Tournament of Minds, DAV Debating, and a Global connection program with Seirei High School and Meikei High School in Japan. |

The excellent pastoral care program at the College includes a Buddy system, House system, merit and excellence awards, faith development, Horizons and careers counselling. There are two student counsellors on staff who are both psychologists . |
