Brisbane Bayside State College opened in 2010. We have vibrant, modern facilities which are the envy of many other schools and give us the ability to offer a wide range of learning opportunities. Access to the latest technology throughout gives all students the opportunity to use technology to extend their learning anywhere in our school.
We operate three Gateways of Learning. These Gateways are: Arts & Culture learning through Performance; Inquiry & Discovery learning through Inquiry; and Innovation, Technology & Enterprise learning through Design which give students an opportunity to choice the learning which best suits their needs. Students at Brisbane Bayside State College continue through the junior years in these Gateways and then through choice in the senior years can continue to engage with their favoured learning style to maximise their learning and success. |

The extensive facilities at Brisbane Bayside State College have given us an opportunity to extend and move beyond the traditional curriculum.
Our stand alone Performing Arts Centre, visual arts spaces and visual media rooms allows us to offer an extensive and exciting arts program which includes dance, drama, music, visual arts and multi-media studies. This provides students with many opportunities to participate in out of class activities which extend the in class learning.
Our 7 purpose built science labs at Brisbane Bayside State College gives all students hands on experience in science across all year levels.
The use of technology to support student learning in all curriculum areas is a significant feature of Brisbane Bayside State College. Every classroom has access to computers either through stand-alone or laptops or a combination of the two. We have 10 fully equipped computer rooms along with 6 partially equipped spaces where students can use our technology to enhance their learning.
Brisbane Bayside State College has purpose built facilities in technology and manual arts. As a consequence we offer courses in robotics, graphical design, construction, and engineering.
Our industrial kitchen gives students industry standard skills. We see students during morning tea running the BBSC Café where students can purchase cappuccinos, pan fried sandwiches and homemade cookies as part of our students hospitality course.
The sports hall at Brisbane Bayside State College, covered multipurpose outdoor courts and playing fields provide students with the best sporting facilities and help us promote sporting excellence across the school.
Our aim is to use our facilities and resources to connect with all students to ensure their success through a rich and varied curriculum. |
