Above all, Hills College is an extremely friendly school where new students are made to feel genuinely welcome.

Hills College is fully committed to providing quality education in a safe environment and abides by a strictly enforced discipline policy.

In short, we are able to provide students with more personalised care and attention; a fact evidenced by our confident and self-assured student body.

Primary School

The Primary School of Hills College is dedicated to helping all students develop academically, socially, physically and culturally. All staff members assist our students to explore their potential through an inquiry-based curriculum.

We encourage students to become lifelong learners through the development of relevant, enjoyable and high quality programs. Building a passion for learning within the child is a key element in providing them with a quality education. Students are encouraged to be proactive and engaged in their own learning to promote responsibility and dedication to any task set before them. The Primary School also has full-time learning support staff who work with children experiencing learning difficulties, and for those who require extension.

We offer a diverse range of sporting opportunities including golf, athletics, swimming, soccer, netball, volleyball and cross country. Hills Primary School affiliates with the Beaudesert and Districts School Sports Association and competes at District, Regional and State levels.

Secondary School

Middle School:
The Middle School at Hills College comprises students from Years 7 to 9. Our Middle School Program aims to ease the transition from Primary School to Secondary School by providing an exciting program specifically targeted at meeting the needs of adolescents.

Our College follows the national curriculum for middle schools, and all students who successfully complete the Middle School Program are eligible to enter the Hills College Senior School; "the stepping stone to future career paths."

Senior School:
Students graduating from Hills College are eligible for an ATAR (teritary entrance) score, University and TAFE entry. Students are able to select from a wide array of General and Applied subjects to suit their strengths and interests, as they work towards their Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE). VET courses are also able to be undertaken in the Senior School, to provide alternative pathways which suit the individual.

Hills International Golf Academy

Hills Educational Foundation Ltd has established a unique golf education opportunity for young golfers. The concept of providing state of the art golf coaching training program and academic program is quite unique.

The 8000 square meters of high quality turf practice tees and 4.5 hectares of driving range area create the ideal training facility and provide a perfect opportunity for young golfers to develop professional level skills. The 1500m2 purpose designed short game training facilities incorporate the challenges golfers will have to face during their career including a multitude of special grasses, bunkers, slopes and lies.
The high tech golf program has been developed here in Queensland and is a world leader in this sophisticated golf education program.
The program provides a comprehensive golf training package, in tandem with a respected secondary school academic education. Striking the right balance between the golf and academic components of the program is vital. The range of program options is designed to meet the wide variety of student needs.
The world’s best golfers combine extensive technical, physical and psychological skills to master the game.
Hills Golf Program takes a holistic approach to golf education, combining extensive physical and psychological training, biomechanics and technical development. The program aims to maximize the strengths and minimize the weaknesses of students by closely monitoring and carefully refining their development.
As well as self improvement and enjoyment from golf, many of the students have been busy making a name for themselves in golf circles not only in their own districts but also on a state, national and international level.

Hills Language College

High School Preparation Program:
This course is designed for students who have studied in their home country but wish to enter mainstream Australian school classes. There are four levels in this program and each takes 10 weeks to complete. Students are required to complete a Placement Test before being placed in the appropriate level for their ability. At the end of each 10 weeks students sit for a school-based test similar to the International Second Language Proficiency Rating test to gauge their readiness to move to the next level. On achieving the required proficiency to enter the particular grade level in Hills International College (our high school), students are then transferred to study in the mainstream school.

General English Program:
This course is designed for students who wish to improve their English for various purposes such as entering university or TAFE, or simply to live in Australia as residents at a later date. Classes are small with a maximum of 15 students per class. There are four levels of English in this program each of which takes 10 weeks to complete. Students sit for a school-based test at the end of every ten weeks to gauge their readiness to move to the next level.

Students who wish to study this course must be at least 17 years old, and must have a Blue Card (we can assist with this).
