Welcome to our School

St Luke's Anglican School is Bundaberg's highest performing private school, with the goal to promote a rich and stimulating education environment where students are engaged to be curious, creative, independent problem-solvers, and achieve individual success.

We embrace a passion for learning, whether it be through academic endeavours, expression of the arts, sporting achievement, cultural excellence, spiritual growth and/or a range of co-curricular activities.

Our Mission & Values

Our mission is to be a dynamic and inclusive learning community, grounded in our Anglican tradition and embracing excellence, service, innovation and global thinking.
Our graduates will be known for their strength of heart, mind and character with a clear understanding of their place in God's world.

All members of the school community aspire to uphold three main values of faith, performance and honour. When combined, they make up The St Luke's Way. This is a fundamental framework to guide all members of our school community in their actions and behaviours.

Education at St Luke's Anglican School

EARLY LEARNING
Bundaberg's leading Early Learning Centre includes our Junior Room (age 2-3) Kindy (age 3-4), and Pre-Preparatory (age 4-5). Your child's education begins here with expert-designed, play-based learning.
PRIMARY SCHOOL
We understand that it is these learning years which form the foundation of your child's learning and performance capabilities, and future potential. So, we nurture your child's education with the highest quality teaching staff who strive to provide the best in child-centred learning, performance and excellence, in a safe and secure environment where children can flourish.
MIDDLE SCHOOL
St Luke's Middle School for students in Years 7, 8 and 9, where students are undergoing rapid changes physically, mentally and emotionally, and that these years are where peak brain and cognitive development occurs. So, it is here where students enjoy smaller classes, a dedicated Middle School Building with exclusive teachers, a broad curriculum and more attention for each student are our highest priority.
SENIOR SCHOOL
St Luke's Senior School is for students in Years 10, 11 and 12. Here, we recognise that students are entering into their pre-adult years and begin to demonstrate bursts in intellectual growth, personal choice, independence and freedoms, self-determination and leadership. So, it's in Senior School that we approach education with subject offerings, engaging content, extra-curricular activities and tailored support, with a clear view to nurturing and encouraging the development of these traits in our students. At the end of their education, a St Luke's graduate will be prepared academically, emotionally and personally for the demands of the 21st Century.

Performing Arts

The Performing Arts are a vibrant and expressive part of life at St Luke’s Anglican School, with close to half of the School's student population involved in Performing Arts activities, including instrumental music lessons, the Ensemble Program, Drama Tech Club, theatre productions and performances.

St Luke’s Anglican School is exceptionally regarded by the community for its Music Program, and especially for the quality and success of its bands, choirs and orchestras. The School has won countless awards at many different District, Regional and State level competitions, and performed at a stunning array of events, festivals and Eisteddfods. A wide range of opportunities are available to different year groups.

Sport

All students at St Luke’s Anglian School participate in regular sport lessons. However, beyond the curriculum, there are many further opportunities for students to develop their understanding of commitment and teamwork, and gain great pleasure and satisfaction from sport. All students in Year 3-12 participate in three major Inter-House sporting carnivals - Swimming, Cross Country and Athletics. From these carnivals, there is the opportunity for many students to advance to Bundaberg District, Wide Bay Regional, State and National level in these sporting disciplines.

In addition, students can choose to be involved in a wide range of additional sporting activities at an Inter-School level, most of which can then lead onto District, Wide Bay and State representation.
