Welcome to St Ursula's College Toowoomba

Located in the Garden City of Toowoomba, St Ursula's College is a Catholic educational and residential community in the Ursuline tradition and is dedicated to the education and care of young women in years 8-12.

The community of St Ursula’s College – students, staff and parents works hard at developing a sense of community that has as its major focus the development – spiritually, academically, physically and emotionally – of each person within the community.

Outstanding Curriculum

As a centre of learning for the 21st century, St Ursula’s College offers a curriculum tailored to the needs of young women for the future. Students are provided with learning opportunities that aim to prepare them to be resourceful, resilient, well informed and effective participants and leaders of their world. Each girl is encouraged to take responsibility for her own learning and all are challenged to discover and extend their own gifts and talents in fields as diverse as the Creative and Performing Arts, Design and Technology, Languages, Science, Social Science and Vocational Education. St Ursula’s students excel in the traditional academic endeavours as well as in the creative and vocational fields. There is a focus on those elements that distinguish a girl’s education and on the range and diversity of subject choices and pathways that each girl can experience.

Range of Co-Curricular Offerings

Co-Curricular offerings exist to further support the development of the whole person, with personal development being supported by extended camps and alternative learning activities, and academic development being supported by a variety of excursions encompassing all subject areas to bring to life classroom learning.

Rich Cultural Program

The College has a strong reputation in the area of creative arts with many fine achievements over a number of years in drama, dance, music, media studies and visual arts.

The provision of individual music tutors, choral groups, concert, stage and smaller ensemble groups including jazz, woodwind, string and flute ensembles, encourages students to participate widely in all aspects of Music.

Dance is a vital part of life at St Ursula’s College and many opportunities are offered for girls from all year levels to engage in performances ranging from major productions, assemblies and school liturgies.

Students do not have to study Drama to be involved in drama activities at the College. Assembly items, special events such as Eisteddfods, festivals are just some of the opportunities to perform that exist outside the drama classroom.
