Who we are

The Springfield Anglican College is a Co-educational independent Anglican school, with a strong emphasis on the holistic development of young men and women.

Underpinning this balanced approach to education is an understanding that students achieve their best when they are supported and encouraged in a safe and caring environment, where each student is given the individual attention they deserve.

The Springfield Anglican College opened its doors in 1998 with 12 students; our enrolment in 2021 stands at 1080 students from Kindergarten to Year 12.

We are located in the heart of Greater Springfield, just over 25 kilometers from the centre of Brisbane and within a 750m walk of the Springfield Central Train Station. Our Secondary Campus is located on Springfield Greenbank Arterial; while the Primary Campus is a 5 minute drive from the Secondary Campus on Springfield College Drive.

The Springfield Anglican College is a Christian faith community that nurtures life giving relationships and spiritual awareness. Our graduates are well educated, resilient, creative, compassionate and respectful people of influence.

The educational philosophy of The Springfield Anglican College is focused on the whole child – intellectual, cultural, physical, social and spiritual. A key element of a The Springfield Anglican College education is a clear focus on the individual and a strong desire to assist all students to develop their talents and realise "Their Future". The Springfield Anglican College adopts an Open Door Policy and values the input of parents in the shared education of their children.

Spiritual Development and Pastoral Care

Christian values form the basis of the pastoral care programme at the Springfield Anglican College and the safety and care of our students is of utmost importance to us. In addition, our teachers value the partnership they have with parents in seeking to provide children with the skills they need to relate to others, to be resilient when they face difficulties and to develop self-confidence.

Academics and Co-Curricular Program

Academic success is important and high achievement is and always will be a priority at The Springfield Anglican College. At the same time however, the College recognises the intrinsic value of student participation in cultural and sporting programmes which are designed to assist students to discover and fulfil their potential. A strong emphasis on personal development challenges students to acquire the skills needed for life beyond school.

Creative Arts

At the Springfield Anglican College, there is a wide range of co-curricular opportunities such as Drama, Dance, Media Music Ensembles, Visual Art plus the bi-annual College Musical.

Sport

The Springfield Anglican College has developed an integrated Health and Physical Education program, which combines regular fitness sessions with the development of sporting skills.

The College actively participates in the Greater Brisbane Conference (GBC) sporting competitions on both the Primary and Secondary Campus.

Good sportsmanship, a spirit of fair play and healthy competition, participation and improved health and fitness and a desire to achieve one's best are the main priorities of The Springfield Anglican College sporting program.
