Kensington Community High School has two teachers working with groups of less than 20 students, and have specialist staff to address emotional, social as well as educational needs. |

Students from years 7 to 12 have a choice of targeted and managed electives that provide students with a broad and engaging curriculum program.
At Kensington Community High School we have a strong commitment to improving the literacy skills of all students. Strategies to improve students reading, writing, speaking and listening skills are incorporated into all subjects.
With respect to numeracy, there is a focus on number, measurement and data, problem solving, and structure are at the forefront of each lesson with the learning objectives made clear for each lesson. As part of the numeracy program at Kensington Community High School, students are given interesting challenges to measure student achievement and areas for further development. |

Kensington Community High School is resourced with computer technology and special purpose learning classrooms.
Sports are played at the nearby Stadium and the school also has a basketball court with artificial grass, which is also used for cricket matches.
Music can be taken as an elective and there is a music room equipped with musical instruments. |

We have established a range of community links and expertise in accessing pathways to employment and training to prepare and assist students in transition to higher learning or employment.
VET in Schools (VETiS), at Kensington Community High School provides students with a Certificate II in a variety of disciplines.
