Established in 1903, this day school for boys caters for students from Years 5 to 12 and is a member of Edmund Rice Education Australia, consisting of 55 leading Catholic schools around Australia.

Information Resource Centre, science and specialist areas, gymnasium and weights room, multipurpose courts for tennis, table tennis, jumps, cricket nets, 50m heated Olympic and diving pool, Performing Arts Centre, TAS workshops with domestic and commercial kitchens, Wellbeing Centre, Health Centre and Chapel. A second campus, 300m from the Senior Campus, houses a Junior School, a 200-seat auditorium with music room, and a flexible, student-directed, collaborative Learning Hub. The 5,000 square metre Wingara wilderness space for outdoor recreation and learning, is currently in development. Playing fields are located a few minutes’ walk from the College.
The College offers a broad curriculum and more than 40 subjects at HSC level.
Spanish is available with external study supported for other languages.
The Learning Support Centre, delivering learning support and learning enrichment, offers acceleration and participation in specialised programs such as da Vinci Decathlon.
The Performing Arts Centre supports students electing to study Music and Drama, and private tuition is available for a wide range of instruments, voice and music theory. Performance opportunities include musicals, drama productions and music recitals.
The College gymnasium supports the extensive Physical Development and Health Education Program.
In addition to a strong, focused HSC pathway, an excellent range of non-ATAR and Vocational Education and Training courses are offered in Stage 6.
Waverley College is a member of CAS, CIS and IPSHA, and participates successfully in all combined sporting and cultural activities. Sailing is a popular addition. Cultural activities include Theatresports, public speaking, debating, chess, social justice groups, Visual Arts Club, STEM, music, choir, bands, ensembles, Walawaani - our First Nation Program and the celebrated Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme.
Individual tuition (brass, string, woodwind and percussion instruments, voice, music theory), Ecology Group and Innovation Club. The Waverley College Cadet Unit has provided leadership training for students in Years 8 to 12 for more than 100 years.
Waverley students enjoy authentic learning and social partnerships with St Clare’s College and St Catherine’s School in Service Education, Cadets, musicals, and ballroom dancing.
