Grace Lutheran Primary School is a caring, Christian community, which in partnership with the family, endeavours to provide a quality educational environment where we can Grow in Grace surrounded by Christ's love and forgiveness.
We believe Christ is the source and centre of our school life and we live together as forgiven Christians. We acknowledge that we are precious in God's sight and strive to use our unique gifts and talents to the best of our abilities and for the benefit of others.
The Christian faith is the foundation on which we build our school. Worship is an activity central to our school life. We strive to live and promote 'gospel' values with our students and with each other.
At Grace Primary we acknowledge parents as the first educators of their children. As a school, we work in partnership with families. We value strong and positive working relationships with parents and strive to get the best from active parental involvement in our school. We aim for open communication as together we work for what is best for children and their learning.
We value our children for who they are and whose they are. Together we 'Grow in Grace'.
Students at our school are offered a broad curriculum from Prep through to Year 7. Literacy skills, Numeracy skills, Christian Studies, and Integrated Studies are core Learning Areas.
Integrated Studies follows units of work on a two year cycle of themes such as Earth and Beyond, Identity and Well-Being, and Past, Present and Future. The Learning Areas of The Arts, Studies of Society and the Environment, Science, Technology and Health are covered in these themes.
Specialist teachers provide learning activities in Japanese, Music, PE and Library with lessons varying in length from thirty minutes to an hour.
Our school is a welcoming and friendly place for all those who come here. We strive to grow positive partnerships between staff, students and parents. We value regular communication between school and home and offer a variety of ways for this to occur.
Parents are encouraged to become actively involved in the life and activities of the school. Opportunities include assisting in classrooms, library, and tuckshop or with class activities and camps. Involvement in the Parents and Friends and its fundraising and friendraising activities is a pleasant duty for school families.
With all this in mind, the most important members of our community are our students. Everything we do revolves around their need for the best possible education.
