We are proud of our beautiful campus, located directly on the Swan River and boasting views unlike any other in the area.
Our Early Learning Centre, Kindergarten, Junior School and Senior School are all located on the same campus, allowing for the sharing of facilities and ensuring an easy and seamless transition through the years at MLC.
Every MLC girl gains extraordinary life and learning experiences during her time at the College.
Methodist Ladies' College remains committed to Our Vision - to be an international leader of teaching and learning - and Our Mission - to mentor motivated learners to choose purposeful futures. We are driven by Our Values of Integrity, Mastery, Enterprise and Justice, and guided by Our Inspiration and Motto, Per Ardua ad Alta, through striving to the heights.
EARLY LEARNING
The only one of its kind at an independent girls’ school in Perth, our Early Learning Centre (ELC) is extraordinary. We welcome girls and boys from one year of age to start their learning journey with us. Our educators are qualified to the highest standard of care. We practice the wonderful, evidence-based Reggio Emilia Approach to teaching young children.
KINDERGARTEN
Our vibrant Kindergarten is a wonderful extension of our ELC. Children experience a curriculum working to a timetable each day, similar to the MLC Junior Years in a fun, engaging and supportive environment to prepare them for the next steps in their learning.?
JUNIOR YEARS
We approach each student as an individual, getting to know our girls well during this important stage in their educational journey. From their strengths to their challenges, our goal is to discover what drives them and let their unique personalities flourish before they transition into their Senior Years. Our teachers are passionate and driven, working with each student’s ability and providing them with individual learning, extension and support as needed.
SENIOR YEARS
We support each of our Senior Year students to achieve their personal best, providing them with every possible opportunity to succeed in what it is that drives them. Our teachers prepare our students to be the very best version of themselves. We understand a girl’s biggest challenge can become her strength and support each girl to confidently try something new, experiment and fail without fear.
At MLC, we pride ourselves on being an inclusive, non-selective College that caters to each individual student. Our curriculum is differentiated and designed to accommodate students working at many levels of learning within smaller class sizes to ensure all students are engaged and supported. Teachers monitor the development of each learner and cater to a wide range of abilities, from gifted students to those requiring extra support. They plan using a differentiated framework to design learning activities that ensure each girl is nurtured and challenged within the classroom.
Our priority is getting to know our students and understanding their unique abilities. We customise our holistic educational approach with a wide range of co-curricular activities, offering extra breadth and depth to their experience and education at the College.
With so many options, there is something for everyone at MLC. Discover the diverse and dynamic range of programs from sport and music to debating, cooking and arts for students to get involved in.
Located in the Centenary Building at the heart of our beautiful campus, the Boarding House is a home away from home for girls in Years 6 to 12. We pride ourselves on creating a safe and comfortable environment where our girls are free to live, learn and grow. The unique bond they get to share throughout their boarding adventure creates a sense of sisterhood and friendships that last a lifetime. Girls from across Australia and all corners of the globe come together in the MLC Boarding House, each contributing to the rich cultural tapestry of our College and community.
