What Makes Scotch, Scotch...
Spread across 20 hectares of magnificent grounds at the foot of the Mount Lofty Ranges in Mitcham and Torrens Park Scotch College is an independent, co-educational school from Early Learning to Year 12. Offering a first-class education in every way Scotch encourages and nurtures students to become happy, successful and well-rounded people of good character.
Throughout their Scotch College journey from the Early Learning Centre to the Junior, Middle and Senior Schools, students are encouraged to be the best they can be studying a wide variety of academic subjects, artistic pursuits, sports and activities. The importance of contributing to the community is continually emphasised and enacted.
The diverse curriculum that Scotch College offers is taught by highly qualified teachers who inspire students to develop a love of learning for life. The College’s exceptional co-curricular program provides opportunities for challenge and self-expression through drama, filmmaking, dance, music, applied visual arts and debating.
Scotch College sets high standards and encourage individuals to achieve their best academically and conduct themselves with dignity.
An extensive range of sports is offered at Scotch College and our own “wilderness classrooms” on Kangaroo Island and Goose Island add yet another dimension to students’ learning. The utilisation of new Information Communications Technologies is integral to curriculum delivery at Scotch and has been embedded in every area of student learning. We also teach what it means to be a responsible and creative digital citizen.
Scotch College focuses on developing a culture of friendliness and respect for all members of the community. We value our history, our Old Collegians, our past and current parents, students and staff.
Ground-breaking positive education programs have been incorporated as part of the College’s overall education offering, equipping students with skills to maximize the success and effectiveness of their inter-personal relationships.
A school steeped in tradition, Scotch is a place where every student can develop their own special talents and be the best they can be.
This is what makes Scotch uniquely Scotch. |

Scotch College has been a home away from home for hundreds of boarders across multiple generations and one of the world’s best boarding experiences. Located in the Adelaide foothills, the extensive grounds and open spaces form a bridge between the city and the bush.
The underpinning principles we use to shape our Rosevear boarding program begin with cultivating a family environment that is safe and where each child is known and nurtured. Boarders enter into a home where strong values of respect, inclusion and wellbeing are lived among a diverse community, created with international families, that reflect a normal, cultural, society. |

International Students learn to live, study and make friends in Australia. In an increasingly globalised world, International Students can make a great contribution to both cultural understanding and future economic and commercial interactions. Our International Students share their country’s culture, customs and history which adds to the learning experience of all students.
Throughout their education at Scotch, International Students work towards improving their English, achieving their best grades and developing lasting friendships. |
